I started my broadcasting career in 2000 as a radio advertising exec in Atlanta. In addition to creating ad campaigns, I produced commercials and on-air promotions. In 2003, I co-founded and hosted a weekly open mic event in Southwest Georgia.
By 2004, I was producing music full time and performing with a jazz/funk band three nights a week. I still promoted the open mic event and worked in a recording studio. It was one of the funniest and happiest times of my life creatively; but it was time for a change. By the end of ‘04 I returned to the corporate world as a marketing executive in the beverage industry.
Climbing the proverbial corporate ladder didn’t stop me from doing voice over work and for radio stations throughout the Southeast. On December 7, 2006 I produced my first “favecast” on a Friday afternoon - a 5 minute audio clip of me talking about music, writing and my upcoming creative projects.
Two years later, the Friday Favecast (FFC) has evolved into a full length podcast with music, fitness tips and comedic social commentary designed to entertain, encourage and uplift listeners as they wrap up their work week. It has opened doors for me to meet a myriad of great musicians, podcasters and authors.
My experiences in media - combined with my passion for entertaining and helping people - fuels my desire to host the FFC. That desire is increased by the positive energy of those who choose to download the FFC every week.
